What does an anchor do?

It rests.

It does not try to sink.

It simply follows its nature.

Guided by its own weight.

And the field of gravity in which it exists.

Anchoring is one of the moves you make in meditation.

This might sound like there’s a lot to do, but really it involves resting with something that steadies you. Something simple, comfortable and easy to feel.

Find that.

And rest.

Lose that.

Find it again.

And rest.

That’s it.

Over time this steadies you.

If you find that hard, there are two other meditation moves (or skills) that usually help.
