What lies beneath?

How often do we miss something simply because we don't think to look for it?

Sometimes in meditation things calm down enough for inspirational thoughts to bubble up.

Seemingly out of nowhere, clear and fabulous ideas appear.

A beautiful notion.

A new way of looking at something.

A creative solution to a tricky problem.

It's tempting to play with these thoughts like shiny new toys.

But what happens if you leave them alone?

What lies beneath that clear and creative fountain of thought?

Depths of stillness perhaps.

Or a sense of peace that seems to come from nowhere.

You don’t have to take my word for it.

You can look for yourself.

That’s one of the wonderful things about meditation.

It gives us the opportunity to explore the less obvious things.

To go a little deeper.

And see what we find.
